Benjamin Britten's Loxford (strictly speaking Eric Crozier's Loxford, since he wrote the libretto) shares its name with a real–life area of Ilford, in the London Borough of Redbridge (previously Essex); and also with a town in New South Wales, famous for its speedway track.
